Construction Window Cleaning Sydney

Internal and accessible external glass, frames, tracks, screens and sliding doors detailed for residential construction handover. Streak-free, residue-aware and ready for inspection.

Construction glass detail

Glass is only finished when the frames, tracks and screens are finished too.

New-build windows collect plaster dust, silicone marks, adhesive, water residue and fine grit across more than the pane. Cleaning the glass before the surrounding frame and track simply moves the mess back onto the finished surface.

Our Sydney construction window cleaning follows a controlled sequence across internal glass, safely accessible external glass, frames, sills, tracks, screens and sliding doors. It can be included in a handover clean or confirmed as a focused scope before practical completion.

Our process

A finish-safe sequence for construction glass.

The exact method changes with the glass, frame coating, residue and access conditions found on site.

01 / Assess

Inspect first

We identify coatings, scratches, damaged seals, stubborn residue and access limits before cleaning starts.

02 / Dry detail

Remove loose grit

Frames, tracks and corners are vacuumed or brushed so abrasive site grit is not dragged across finished surfaces.

03 / Clean

Work component by component

Screens, frames, tracks and panes are cleaned in the right order using methods suitable for the installed finish.

04 / Inspect

Check the final light

Edges and panes are reviewed from different angles so visible film and streaks can be corrected before sign-off.

External Window Glass

External panes, perimeter edges and accessible frames are cleaned in sequence so the finished elevation presents clearly at handover.

  1. 01Inspect glass, coatings and access before work starts.
  2. 02Lift loose dust from frames and glass without dragging grit.
  3. 03Clean the pane with a suitable non-abrasive solution.
  4. 04Squeegee, detail edges and check the finish from multiple angles.

Window Screens

Screens and their surrounding frames are treated separately from the glass to remove trapped site dust without pushing residue back onto the pane.

  1. 01Check the screen and frame for existing damage.
  2. 02Dry brush or vacuum loose dust from the mesh and corners.
  3. 03Clean the frame and screen using a controlled method.
  4. 04Dry and refit removable screens where safe and agreed.

Sliding Glass Doors

Large sliding doors are detailed from the frame and track outward, leaving clear glass, clean contact edges and a presentation-ready opening.

  1. 01Vacuum the lower track and remove loose building grit.
  2. 02Detail frames, handles and contact edges.
  3. 03Clean both accessible faces of the glass.
  4. 04Polish edges and complete a daylight streak check.

Internal Window Glass

Internal glass is finished after surrounding dust has been controlled, helping prevent airborne residue from settling back onto a newly cleaned pane.

  1. 01Remove dust from the reveal, sill and frame first.
  2. 02Identify paint, silicone or adhesive residue for safe treatment.
  3. 03Clean the glass with fresh solution and controlled passes.
  4. 04Detail corners, edges and sill before the final inspection.

Frames, Sills & Tracks

Tracks collect plaster dust, grit and offcuts that can transfer back onto clean frames or interfere with movement, so they are completed before the glass finish.

  1. 01Vacuum loose grit and debris from the full channel.
  2. 02Agitate corners and drainage channels with detail brushes.
  3. 03Wipe frames and sills using finish-safe methods.
  4. 04Dry the channel and check that visible residue is cleared.

Streak-Free Final Check

The last pass targets film, edge marks and visible streaks so the glass reads clean under direct daylight and at inspection angles.

  1. 01Re-wet remaining film using clean solution.
  2. 02Use consistent squeegee passes without recontaminating the pane.
  3. 03Detail edges with a clean lint-free cloth.
  4. 04Inspect in natural light and correct visible streaks.

FAQ

Windows & glass, common questions.

For Sydney builders, site supervisors and new-home handovers.

The confirmed scope can include internal glass, accessible external glass, window frames, sills, tracks, screens and sliding glass doors. Loose construction dust is removed first, then each component is detailed and the glass is checked for streaks and remaining residue.

Yes. Internal glass and safely accessible external glass can be included. Upper-level or restricted-access glazing that requires scaffold, an elevated work platform or specialist access is assessed and quoted separately.

No. Cleaning removes surface dust, marks and suitable construction residue, but it cannot repair scratched, etched, damaged or defective glass. These conditions are identified and reported rather than hidden.

Detailed window and glass cleaning is normally completed during the handover clean after dusty trades have finished. A final check can also form part of the sparkle clean after defect trades and before keys.

Tracks, frames and screens can be included when they are listed in the agreed scope. Tracks are vacuumed and detailed before the glass is finished so loose grit is not transferred back onto clean surfaces.
