One X Done Cleaning Professionals is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including users of assistive technology. This statement explains where we are today, what we are working on, and how to contact us about accessibility.
Standard we target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the standard recommended by the Australian Government Digital Service Standard for public-facing websites.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with one H1 per page and a logical heading hierarchy
- Descriptive alt text on photographs and decorative attributes (
aria-hidden) on purely decorative elements - Keyboard navigation across the main nav, mobile menu, FAQ accordions and quote modal
- Sufficient text contrast against backgrounds at a minimum of 4.5:1 for body copy
- Form labels associated with fields in the trade quote form
- Mobile-friendly responsive layout that does not require horizontal scrolling
- Static poster images shown instead of autoplay video on mobile viewports to avoid unexpected motion and full-screen takeover on iOS
Known limitations
- Background video on desktop hero sections plays automatically. There is currently no UI control to pause it. The video is muted and decorative; no information is conveyed by the video alone.
- Some custom button styles use a faint focus indicator. We are improving keyboard focus visibility in upcoming design system updates.
Assistive technology compatibility
The website has been tested with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile. Screen reader testing has been carried out on the primary pages with VoiceOver on iOS and NVDA on Windows. If you encounter issues with another combination, please let us know.
