Construction FloorCleaning Sydney

Timber, tile, vinyl, raw concrete and polished concrete swept, vacuumed, finish-cleaned and detailed for residential construction handover.

Surface-specific floor detail

The right clean depends on the floor under the dust.

Construction floors collect plaster dust, tracked grit, grout film, adhesive marks and trade debris. The finish matters: timber and vinyl need controlled moisture, tile needs residue recovery, while raw and polished concrete require different methods.

Our floor cleaning starts with dry soil removal before any finish-compatible damp work. Edges, joints and perimeter details are included in the sequence. Floor finishing can form part of a handover clean or a focused construction cleaning scope.

Our process

A finish-aware sequence for construction floors.

The exact method changes with the installed finish, residue, coating and defects found on site.

01 / Assess

Confirm the finish

We identify the material, coating, joints, scratches and residue before selecting a method.

02 / Dry detail

Remove abrasive grit

Offcuts, loose dust and grit are cleared before damp work so debris is not dragged over the finish.

03 / Finish clean

Match the surface

Moisture, chemistry and agitation are controlled for timber, tile, vinyl or concrete.

04 / Inspect

Dry and check

Edges and the dry surface are reviewed for remaining film, grit or removable marks.

Before / After

Eight floor finishes, detailed by surface.

Raw Concrete

Unfinished concrete is cleared methodically so loose grit, site dust and removable surface marks do not carry into the next stage.

  1. 01Assess the slab, residue and any unsealed or damaged areas.
  2. 02Lift safe loose material before vacuuming the full surface.
  3. 03Use a controlled damp method only where the slab condition allows.
  4. 04Detail perimeters and complete a final debris and dust check.

02 / Process

Dark Grey Tile

Dark tiles show footprints and drying film clearly, so the final clean covers the tile face, grout lines and perimeter edges.

  1. 01Vacuum loose grit from tiles, grout lines and edges.
  2. 02Assess adhesive, grout haze and surface marks before treatment.
  3. 03Wash with a finish-compatible method and controlled solution.
  4. 04Rinse or recover residue, dry and check for visible film.

03 / Process

Dark Timber

Dark timber is detailed with a low-moisture sequence that removes grit first and avoids dragging abrasive dust over the boards.

  1. 01Inspect boards, joints and existing scratches before work.
  2. 02Vacuum loose grit using a non-scratching floor attachment.
  3. 03Spot-treat suitable residue without flooding the surface.
  4. 04Clean along the boards, dry promptly and check for streaks.

04 / Process

Light Grey Tile

Light grey tile is worked from dry soil removal through grout and edge detailing to a controlled final mop and finish check.

  1. 01Vacuum the tile field, edges and loose grout dust.
  2. 02Agitate suitable residue in grout lines and perimeters.
  3. 03Complete a controlled mop using a surface-appropriate solution.
  4. 04Recover remaining film and inspect the dry tile in natural light.

05 / Process

Light Timber

Light timber receives the same grit-first, low-moisture approach, with extra attention to joints, edges and residue that can dull the finish.

  1. 01Clear offcuts and inspect the finish before cleaning.
  2. 02Vacuum fine dust from boards, joints and perimeter edges.
  3. 03Treat compatible surface marks with controlled moisture.
  4. 04Dry the floor and check the boards from multiple angles.

06 / Process

Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is cleared and washed with a finish-aware method that targets construction film without changing the installed sheen.

  1. 01Identify the coating, polish and any existing finish variation.
  2. 02Vacuum abrasive grit and loose building residue first.
  3. 03Use a pH-suitable controlled cleaning method for the surface.
  4. 04Dry and inspect for remaining film without altering the finish.

07 / Process

Vinyl Plank

Vinyl plank flooring is detailed without saturating the joints, working from safe debris removal to a low-moisture final finish.

  1. 01Inspect joints, edges and any lifting or adhesive marks.
  2. 02Vacuum the full floor without dragging construction grit.
  3. 03Clean using a vinyl-compatible low-moisture solution.
  4. 04Dry promptly and check joints, edges and visible film.
White tile floor clean and ready for handover inspection

08 / Process

White Tile

White tile can hide fine film until the light changes, so the process includes grout detail, residue recovery and a final dry inspection.

  1. 01Remove loose grit and dust from the tile and grout.
  2. 02Assess grout haze, adhesive and marks before treatment.
  3. 03Clean the tile face, grout lines and perimeter edges.
  4. 04Rinse or recover residue, allow to dry and inspect again.
Scope clarity

What floor cleaning covers—and what it cannot repair.

Typical confirmed scope

  • Timber and engineered floor finishes
  • Ceramic and porcelain tile floors
  • Vinyl plank flooring
  • Raw, sealed and polished concrete
  • Accessible edges and perimeter detail
  • Suitable surface dust, marks and residue

Assessed separately

  • Scratches, chips, staining or coating defects
  • Grinding, polishing, sealing or floor restoration
  • Heavy paint, cement or cured adhesive removal
  • Unsealed or moisture-sensitive timber
  • Specialist grout-haze or chemical treatment
  • Construction damage that cleaning cannot correct
FAQ

Construction floors, common questions.

For Sydney builders, site supervisors and new-home handovers.

We clean timber and engineered floors, ceramic and porcelain tile, vinyl plank, raw concrete and sealed or polished concrete when the finish and site condition are suitable. The confirmed scope and method are matched to the installed surface.

Loose grit is vacuumed before any damp cleaning, residue is assessed first and moisture is kept controlled. Finish-compatible products and low-moisture methods are used so water is not left sitting in timber boards, vinyl joints or perimeter edges.

No. Cleaning can remove surface dust, marks and suitable residue, but it cannot repair scratches, chips, staining, coating failure or other construction defects. Existing damage is identified rather than treated as removable dirt.

Light surface haze can be assessed as part of the confirmed tile scope. Heavy or cured grout, cement, adhesive and specialist residue treatment may require a separate method, test area and quote.

Floor finishing is normally completed late in the handover clean after high-dust work has finished. A lighter presentation reset can also be completed during the sparkle clean if defect trades return before keys.
